You may be able to find a local violinist in your area who will be willing to give you violin lessons. But even if you can there may be some big problems with this way of learning to play the violin. The biggest of which is that you will need to pay for each lesson that you receive and to become a good violinist you will need many of these personal lessons. It doesn't take a mathematician to figure out that you will end up spending a lot of money if you go this route. Actually, an even bigger problem may be that the local violinist in your area that is willing to give you lessons (for payment of course) isn't a particularly good violinist. Do you really want to learn to play from someone who isn't even that good?
